At The Verbatim Group, we provide provincial court reporting and transcription services. Our experienced professionals capture every word accurately, ensuring legal documents are complete and admissible. We offer a wide range of services, including depositions, hearings, trials, and more. We are committed to client satisfaction and delivering exceptional service with confidentiality and professionalism.

About the Role

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced French Legal Transcriptionists (Transcriptrice) to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely transcription of legal proceedings. Before applying, please review the mandatory qualifications. Please apply only if you are available to work more than 35–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

· Accurately transcribe audio and video recordings of legal proceedings (e.g., court hearings, depositions) into clear, concise, and grammatically correct written formats.

· Edit and proofread AI-generated raw transcripts to produce polished final transcripts in required templates and formats.

· Ensure consistency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and the application of proper legal terminology throughout all transcripts.

· Participate in quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of accuracy.

· Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and colleagues

· Consistently meet tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.

· Exceptional accuracy, speed, and attention to detail in transcribing legal proceedings.

· Strong command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and legal terminology.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

· Bilingual Candaited in English and French languages are highly preferred.

Mandatory Qualifications:

· Minimum 2-3 years of court reporting or transcription experience within the past 5 years.
