Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting position supporting the day-to-day operations of the Rural Addiction and Mental Health Clinic, in Canmore. This position supports clinical and non-clinical staff within the various programs (geriatric, clinical, addictions, urgent mental health care, mental health liaison and intake), psychiatrists, clinical supervisors and manager. Working under minimal guidance and direction, this position performs administrative, reception/triage and support duties involving a high degree of self-initiative, flexibility, decision making, and ability to prioritize activities to meet the diverse needs of each program and staff that work within. The work performed is varied, requiring confidentiality, specialized knowledge related to mental health and addiction services, an ability to make ongoing adjustments within a complex environment, ability to meet deadlines, and establishment of protocols and procedures for support services to meet the diverse needs of the community mental health population.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in various computer programs and software packages including Connect Care, Excel, Word, spreadsheets, power point, MS Office Suite, etc. Must be conscientious, accurate and thorough in document preparation. 60 wpm typing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Office Administration, Business Training preferred. Medical Terminology Training: Special Training courses that supplement formal education required to commence the job. Payroll/Timekeeping course.
