FairShare Vacation Rental Management is seeking a hands-on, reliable, and solutions-oriented Maintenance Technician to help care for a growing portfolio of vacation rental properties in Canmore.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. From preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to hot tub care and guest-impacting repairs, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest and owner experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance across vacation rental properties.
- Troubleshoot and complete general repairs, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and fixture replacement.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct domestic hot tub inspections, water testing, balancing, filter cleaning, and basic equipment maintenance.
- Identify and report potential maintenance issues before they become costly repairs.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when required.
- Maintain accurate records, photos, and updates using company software and mobile applications.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance projects, property refreshes, and owner-requested improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent after-hours maintenance issues.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in property maintenance, hospitality maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building systems.
- Experience with hot tubs maintenance is an asset, but training can be provided.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Smartphone proficiency and comfort using mobile applications and work order systems.
