Job Overview

At this time we are only considering candidates that live in the community or surrounding area. We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Retail and Social Media Team Leader to spearhead our retail operations and elevate our social media presence. This pivotal role combines store management, team supervision, and digital marketing to drive sales, enhance customer experience, and build a vibrant brand community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail sales, and expertise in social media strategies. Join us to lead a motivated team, implement innovative merchandising techniques, and connect with our audience across multiple platforms!

Duties

Lead and supervise staff to ensure exceptional customer service, effective sales techniques, and smooth store operations
Develop and execute engaging social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, attract new customers, and promote products or events
Oversee daily store activities including merchandising, pricing, inventory management, purchasing, and cash handling
Train team members on POS (Point of Sale) systems, cashiering procedures, phone etiquette, and customer service standards
Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, negotiate contracts or promotions, and implement marketing initiatives

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in retail management or sales leadership roles with a focus on team management and training & development
Demonstrated expertise in retail sales, merchandising, pricing strategies, and store management practices
Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping software, and basic math skills for budgeting purposes
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities
Excellent communication skills coupled with phone etiquette and customer service excellence
Experience in social media marketing including content creation, platform management (such as Instagram, Facebook), and analytics tools
Leadership qualities such as motivation, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to team development
Previous experience working in a professional animal care environment would be an asset
