Job Summary

Needed: person with amazing skills and interest to manage communications between people and organizations. Someone who enjoys social media, creating and updating new content, creating documents including images and videos. The successful candidate has excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detal, who thrives in an environment with changing priorities and likely interruptions and has a drive to be a pivotal part of a team that makes things happen.

We offer a stimulating job where you will embrace meeting, working with and communicating with persons from very diverse backgrounds, cultures, genders, orientations and abilities. Where you will work independently, while taking direction from multiple people. Where absolute integrity and respect for confidentiality is mandatory.

This is a job with some flexibility in working hours (and location). We also offer a benefit package. We do not offer a routine job where you will do the same thing week after week.

Primary Duties

Create and manage communications within and about our community of faith, including the Rundle Thrift Shop. (e.g. weekly newsletter, bulletin for Sunday service, annual report, etc.)
Proofread and edit all communication materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism
Oversee our social media presence, ensuring timely and engaging content delivery
Manage communications between RCMUC and the communities of the Bow Valley
Manage communications with facility renters/users, including creation and update of visual representation, advice and management of rental fees and contracts
Assist with communication for staff and volunteers, e.g. adding appropriate visual / audio aids

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent proofreading and editing skills to maintain high-quality content standards
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines while multi-tasking and answering to multiple customers and bosses
Motivated and energetic self-starter, able to work without supervision
Demonstrable skills in Office products like Excel and Powerpoint as well as Canva
Experience with audio visual programmes

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
