Job Summary
Banff Social is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Runners to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the kitchen and guests, ensuring timely delivery of food and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and service standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a lively restaurant environment while contributing to memorable dining experiences.

Duties

Deliver hot and cold food orders promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, maintaining presentation standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing.
Support the serving staff by refilling drinks and attending to guest needs during their meal.
Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing tables and sanitizing service stations.
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and billing.
Ensure proper handling of food according to safety standards, including proper storage and sanitation procedures.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and ensure smooth service flow.
Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and hospitality.
Assist with general restaurant cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and handling procedures.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous.
Familiarity with food preparation, serving, cashiering, and basic cooking techniques is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service are essential.
