Purpose: To ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the clinic and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
Responsibilities
CLINICAL:
· Greeting all clients and escorting them to consultation and /or treatment room.
· Perform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to approved Policies and Procedures.
· Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
· Provide general dermatology and aesthetic care to all clients.
· Set-up and clean up before and after all surgeries and procedures.
· Assist/circulate during surgeries.
· Complete initial consultation on all clients.
· Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
· Accompany and assist Dr. Lubitz with all clients.
· Complete all paper work on pathology ensuring all samples are correctly labeled and accounted for so follow-up can be made.
· Call patients requiring follow-up/surgery once pathology results are received and reviewed.
· Conduct all preoperative teaching, answering all questions so client is well informed.
· Obtain informed consent for all clients undergoing surgeries or procedures.
· Ensure all patients are charted on accurately on chart and in computer.
· Maintain clean, tidy environment, stocking/cleaning treatment rooms and operating room as required.
· Educating patients on prescriptions and recommended treatments.
· Ensure that stock of supplies is maintained and order as needed.
· Maintaining and reviewing client records, charts and other pertinent information.
· Maintaining client and clinic confidentiality.
· Responding to telephone/e-mail inquiries relating to clients, lab requests, prescription requests, etc.
· Work as team player to ensure clinic operates smoothly and on time.
· Participating in maintaining and updating, client and clinic standards and protocols.
EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES:
· Ensure sterilization and maintenance of clinical equipment.
· Maintain stocks of clinical supplies, including correct storage (such as refrigeration), removal of out-of-date stock and ordering supplies.
· Provide input in purchasing relevant clinical equipment and supplies.
PROFESSIONAL:
· Act within the practice with appropriate level of clinical competence at all times.
· Dresses in appropriate supplied Art of SKIN Dermatology grey scrubs.
· Aware of Occupational Health and Safety standards and use of Personal Protective Equipment and Standard Precautions as well as Additional Precautions.
GENERAL:
· Assist with other practice duties as required.
