Full job description

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our busy practice. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional administrative support while ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate documentation.
Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages appropriately.
Perform medical device reprocessing, including cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, packaging, and storing instruments in accordance with established infection prevention and control standards.
Support surgeon and clinical staff with a variety of administrative duties.
Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and workplace safety policies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a medical office setting.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) experience or certification is an asset.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail .
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
