Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Cook to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, restaurant management experience, and a passion for food service excellence. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards, managing staff, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Cook will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality food preparation, fostering a positive team environment, and upholding the reputation of our establishment. We are also doing a kitchen expansion and would love to hire someone who has a vision to bring a space alive and help grow our brewery as a culinary destination.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, ordering, and serving activities
Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff and servers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth workflow
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met
Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills in food safety, hospitality, and customer service
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize operational efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health codes
Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
Collaborate with management on menu development and promotional activities

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant management roles
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage small teams effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
Experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with food handling regulations and serving protocols
Previous experience working in the hospitality or food industry is highly desirable

This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone to help grow a brewery moving in a new direction.

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
