NOW HIRING: 2 DOG DAYCARE ATTENDANTS & BATHERS POSITIONS (Full time & Part time)
Pineo’s Pet Spaw is looking for two reliable, hardworking and motivated team members to join our team as Dog Daycare Attendants & Bathers.
These are positions, approximately 20-30 hours per week.
THIS IS NOT A “PLAY WITH DOGS ALL DAY” JOB.
We love dogs—but working in a professional pet care facility is hard work, physical work and cleaning work, with a lot of responsibility.
Our team members are responsible for keeping dogs safe, clean, happy and properly cared for, while also helping keep our busy facility clean and running smoothly.
A significant part of the job includes cleaning, sanitizing, bathing dogs, laundry, dishes, picking up after dogs, lifting, organizing, preparing meals and maintaining our indoor and outdoor spaces.
We are looking for people with a strong work ethic who see what needs to be done and do it without being asked.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely supervise groups of dogs throughout the day
- Monitor dog behaviour and intervene when necessary
- Maintain a safe, structured and positive daycare environment
- Feed dogs according to individual instructions
- Administer medications when required and directed
- Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury or distress
- Bathe and dry dogs according to our standards
- Assist with basic grooming and coat care
- Clean and sanitize kennels, daycare areas, equipment and common areas
- Pick up dog waste and maintain clean outdoor yards
- Complete laundry, dishes, garbage removal and other daily cleaning
- Maintain food, supply and equipment areas
- Lift and move dogs, crates, food bags, supplies and equipment
- Communicate professionally with clients
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
- Work as part of a team and help wherever needed
- Stay productive throughout your shift without needing constant supervision
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Comfortable with cleaning and physical work
- Able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments
- Able to remain calm in a busy environment
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending and lifting throughout the day
- Willing to get dirty—this is a dog facility!
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience working with dogs or other animals is an asset, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
What matters most to us is reliability, maturity, initiative and work ethic.
We can teach you our procedures and standards.
We can't teach someone to care about doing a good job.
