Job Summary
South Central Building Systems, is hiring an experienced Bookkeeper to join our amazing team, located in Carman, Manitoba. South Central is one of Canada’s fastest growing, publicly traded, supplier of trusses, and engineered products, with manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the country.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, detail-oriented and motivated, with a focus on providing a high degree of external and internal customer service as we grow our team and business!
As a keystone role in supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping activities , this position will provide front-desk and general administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth operation of our South Central facility. The ideal candidate will have an excellent ability to work in a busy and growing organization and have proven experience working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. As Bookkeeper for this busy facility, clear communication, cooperation, and collaboration will be crucial for success.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable
- Post Accounts Payable invoices and review reports as required
- Prepare and organize Accounts Payable payments
- Vendor Managed Inventory accruals
- Month end accounts payable accruals
Accounts Receivable
- Contact customers for collections as requested
- Update and prepare the weekly Accounts Receivable Report
Payroll
- Update and complete the weekly payroll spreadsheet
- Complete payroll bi-weekly
- Preapre and record payroll accruals
- Prepare and record payroll allocations
- Confirm employee departments on a quarterly basis for payroll allocaton
General Duties
- Update and prepare the weekly working capital report
- Credit card statement reconcillation and enter receipts
- Bank reconcillations
- WCB record management
- General file creation, maintenance and management
- General journal entries as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping
- Experience with payroll processing is an asset
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks while working with multiple locations
- Customer-service oriented, organized, and detail-focused
- Experience in construction, building supply, or multi-location businesses is an asset
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
