No Limits Underground Ltd. is a privately owned underground utility contractor based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We specialize in directional drilling, utility installation, hydrovac, excavation, and underground infrastructure work throughout Manitoba and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Site Foreman, the Directional Drill Operator / Locator will be responsible for assisting with daily drilling operations and underground utility installations.
This role may include operating and/or assisting with:
- Vermeer directional drills, including 100x140, 40x55, 20x22, and 10x15 rigs
- Drill trucks and trailers
- F5 and F2 Falcon locating systems
- Mud mixing systems and support equipment
- Utility installation for telecommunications, water, electrical, gas, and other underground infrastructure projects
You will work as part of a crew to complete safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.

Responsibilities
- Operate directional drilling equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with planning and completing bores according to project requirements
- Locate drill paths using F5/F2 Falcon locating systems
- Perform pre-use inspections on drills, trucks, trailers, and support equipment
- Mix mud and assist with drilling fluid management as required
- Work safely around existing underground utilities
- Communicate clearly with the foreman, locator, labourers, and other crew members
- Maintain accurate daily records and report production, issues, delays, or equipment concerns
- Help troubleshoot equipment or field conditions when required
- Load, secure, and transport equipment and materials when licensed and required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of directional drilling and/or locating experience
- Experience with underground utility construction
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on project requirements
- Willingness to travel out of town and stay overnight for specialty projects
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well with a crew
- Ability to work independently when required
- Good communication skills
- Must currently live in Canada
Driver’s License Requirements
- Class 3 License required
- Class 3 with Air preferred
- Class 1 License considered a strong asset
