Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during peak hours
Restock supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience

Skills

Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is advantageous
Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and food safety standards
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness standards
Food safe certificate is required
