Full job description

CBDC Gateway is a not-for-profit community-based organization, governed by a 8-member volunteer Board of Directors, with a staff of 4. We have been providing financial assistance, business counselling, training and business development for over 40 years. We support the start-up and growth of small businesses and social enterprises throughout the communities from North Branch to Lapoile.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. The position is full-time and based in Channel-Port aux Basques.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for receptionist duties and providing administrative support to CBDC personnel. The Assistant will provide information to new and aspiring entrepreneurs on programs and services of the Corporation. The Assistant will produce reports and other business-related communications, review loan files, enter and maintain information in the loan accounting software program. Additional responsibilities include administering programs such as the Entrepreneurial Training Fund, Consultant Advisory Services, and other initiatives offered by CBDC Gateway

The responsibilities of this position include:

· Acts as a receptionist and first contact with the public and clients

· Provide clients with information on the various programs

· Enter all client data into the various software programs. Ensuring client payments are set up in the external collection system

· Maintains client files including collection of financial statements, insurance verification, and prepares various financial reports on the program activities.

· Assists with preparation and planning for CBDC meetings and events

· Commit to the goals and objectives of the corporation

Skills and Qualifications:

· Diploma in Business or Office Administration or related field or equivalent combination of 3-5 years experience

· Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to take initiative and work well both independently and as part of a Team

· Demonstrated ability to provide exemplary customer service to listen to, understand and respond to client’s needs

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications is required

· Must have a valid drivers license in NL .
