Full job description

Wage: based on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle problems.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks.
Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical components.
Use diagnostic equipment and computerized tools.
Complete vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Explain repair needs clearly to service advisors and customers.
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Perform road tests when required to confirm repairs.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
Automotive service certification or relevant trade-school training.
Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy parts and work on your feet for extended periods.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship.
