Augury Healthcare is seeking a Psychologist or Psychological Associate to provide psychological services within a women’s correctional facility in Kitchener, Ontario. This role supports a high-needs, forensic population requiring comprehensive assessment, treatment, and ongoing risk management in a secure setting.
Compensation
$160 to $200 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and correctional mental health expertise. Higher rates may be considered for highly experienced forensic or correctional psychologists
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Develop and implement behaviour management strategies
- Assess, monitor, and document mental health status, including suicide risk assessments
- Provide recommendations regarding at-risk status and clinical interventions
- Consult with the interdisciplinary Health Care Team on behavioural and psychological concerns
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
- Contribute to a safe, structured, and trauma-informed care environment
Work Environment
This role is based within a women’s correctional facility, offering a unique and highly structured clinical environment. The psychologist will work as part of an interdisciplinary health care team supporting individuals with complex mental health, trauma histories, and behavioural challenges.

Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology
- Registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Psychologist or Psychological Associate (or eligibility)
- Experience in correctional, forensic, or high-risk clinical settings strongly preferred
- Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and behavioural management
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
