Full job description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Part-Time Bookkeeper for our client, a well-established industrial supply company in the Hammonds Plains area.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping functions
Manage Accounts Receivable, including preparing invoices and applying customer payments
Handle Accounts Payable, including entering invoices and preparing payments (cheques, e-transfers, credit cards)
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
Process payroll for a small team, including commission calculations and remittances
Prepare and submit quarterly HST remittances
Track and manage inventory within the system, including receiving and costing items
Work with multi-currency transactions
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end processes
Support the transition from QuickBooks Manufacturing to Sage 50
Assist with general administrative or office tasks as needed

Requirements:

Previous bookkeeping experience in a full-cycle role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
Experience with QuickBooks desktop is required
Experience with Sage 50 is an asset
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with inventory and multi-currency transactions
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Able to work independently and manage deadlines

Our client offers:

$25 per hour
Approximately 7.5 hours per week
Flexible scheduling between Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On-site role in Hammonds Plains

Pay: $25.00 per hour
