Denbow Transport Ltd. is looking for an experienced and people-focused Operations Manager to help lead and strengthen our growing operations across Manufacturing, Agriculture, Environmental Landscaping and Fleet divisions. This role is ideal for a strong operational leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building high-performing teams and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence not just with our customers but our people too.
As the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in strategic planning, operational execution, leadership development and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership & Strategy
- Participate in strategic business planning, budgeting, and operational forecasting
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, service improvements, and business growth
- Implement operational initiatives that improve performance, efficiency, and KPI outcomes
- Support and coach division leaders through change management and operational improvements
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments
Manufacturing Division
- Support production planning and inventory management
- Ensure quality standards and product specifications are maintained
- Coach and mentor team leaders while supporting a positive and accountable work environment
- Work closely with internal experts to maintain quality assurance standards
Agriculture Division
- Coordinate operational resources with Sales and Dispatch
- Support and develop operational team members and division leadership
- Promote strong customer service and operational reliability
Environmental Landscaping Division
- Oversee operational execution of installation and landscaping projects
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Dispatch, and field teams on project planning and execution
- Support project scheduling, staffing, quality, and customer communication
- Participate in weekly operational planning meetings
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements and WorkSafeBC expectations
- Support and coordinate Joint Health & Safety Committee activities alongside HR
Fleet & Equipment Coordination
- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager and Shop leadership regarding maintenance priorities and operational needs
- Monitor fleet utilization, downtime, repair trends, and operational efficiencies
- Balance operational demands with long-term equipment reliability and cost management
- Improve communication between Shop, Dispatch, Operations, and Sales teams
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor multiple operational teams and division leaders
- Build strong team culture through accountability, communication, and employee development
- Promote a respectful, safe, and collaborative work environment
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in operations, construction, landscaping, transportation, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience in operational planning, project coordination, budgeting and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations, occupational health & safety standards and safe work practise.
- Knowledge of safety operations, hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and workplace safety procedures.
- Proven ability to promote and maintain a strong safety culture across operational teams and field environments.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to compliance.
- Experience leading operational or field-service teams is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of fleet, logistics, or manufacturing operations is an asset.
