Quality Assurance Assistant – Aerospace MRO

Full Time | Abbotsford, BC

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to support our Transport Canada–approved maintenance organization. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on Aerospace MRO experience, strong communication skills, and a disciplined approach to documentation, compliance, and regulatory standards.
For the right candidate, this position offers a development pathway into a future Quality or Compliance Management role. Training will be provided to support long‑term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Quality Manager in maintaining compliance with TCCA AMO requirements and applicable CARs regulations
Assist with internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
Review work packages, maintenance records, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
Maintain controlled documents, manuals, and quality records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Communicate with technicians, inspectors, and management to resolve documentation or compliance issues
Assist with supplier evaluations, certifications, and traceability verification
Track, document, and follow up on NCRs, SDRs, and other quality‑related reports
Support updates to QA procedures, forms, and manuals
Maintain an organized, compliant QA workspace
Participate in ongoing training and development toward future leadership responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in an Aerospace MRO environment is a must‑have
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Knowledge of TCCA AMO requirements and CARs regulations (asset)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to interpret technical documents, maintenance records, and regulatory references
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Experience with document control systems or QA software (asset)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
Interest in developing toward a future QA or Compliance Management role
