...And we are searching for a dedicated DVM Associate to join our veterinary team at Valley Veterinary Services.
We are a small animal , well-established (over 30 years!) general practice, located in Chilliwack BC. We are surrounded by amazing hiking trails, rivers and lakes and the best the great outdoors has to offer. We're close to the city, and yet nestled in the quiet country and steps away from an outdoor playground
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed veterinarian to contribute to high-quality animal care in a collaborative environment. The position involves working closely with experienced professionals to provide comprehensive veterinary services, including diagnostics, treatment, and client education. Candidates with laboratory experience are especially encouraged to apply, as this skill set enhances our diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes. We have an amazing client base and offer in house lab testing, ultrasound, liver and cardiac care, eye surgery, ortho surgery, acupuncture, dentals, soft tissue surgery and general GP care.
Our team is dedicated to supporting our community by donating community grants, volunteer work and we've most recently adopted a roadway that we maintain for our community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in a variety of animal species
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, surgeries, and diagnostics
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
- Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and treatment options
- Assist in laboratory testing procedures, utilizing laboratory experience to interpret results effectively
- Stay current with veterinary advancements and participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state
- Min. one year clinical experience
- Laboratory experience is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in diagnostic testing and interpretation
- Strong communication skills for effective client interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and continuous learning
Pay: $130,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
