Quik's Farm Ltd. is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over twenty acres of indoor and an additional twenty acres of seasonal outdoor growing space. Quik’s Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA.
We are currently seeking a full-time Greenhouse Production Assistant. The ideal candidate should be an effective communicator, detail-oriented, willing to work long hours (40-55 hours 5-6 days per week), and ideally have experience working in a production-based environment. This position will report directly to the General Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Harvesting flowers, sleeving, and bunching in preparation, recording crop data.
- Assisting the shipping department with wholesale order fulfillment requirements.
- Working collaboratively alongside production crews to fulfill daily production orders.
- Planting crops in the greenhouse or fields.
- Ongoing crop maintenance including pinching and thinning.
- Unloading, loading, storing, and maintaining crops and bulk seasonal greenery.
- Ensuring work areas and grounds, as well as growing, producing, and packing areas are kept clean and orderly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Post secondary education related to supply chain management would be an asset, but not a requirement.
- Experience in inventory management software would be considered an asset.
- Must be physically fit as the role requires bending, lifting, and moving floral products.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
