About the Role:
We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team and support the day-to-day delivery of HR programs and services across our three offices.
Reporting to the HR Chair, you will be a key resource for employees and leaders while taking ownership of many of our core HR processes. This is a hands-on generalist opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment, employee support, HR systems, program coordination, and finding better ways of doing things.
Please note: Travel to all three offices is a requirement of this role. Our offices are located in: Belleville, Trenton, and Kingston, ON.
What You'll Do:

Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including postings, screening, interviews, offers, candidate communication, and co-op recruitment.

Coordinate onboarding and orientation to provide new employees with a positive and consistent experience.

Serve as a first point of contact for employees on HR policies, benefits, leaves, programs, and systems.

Support employee relations and performance matters, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.

Coordinate performance management cycles, including communications, documentation, reminders, and reporting.

Coordinate employee training and development activities and support administration of the Firm's Learning Management System.

Administer benefits, pension, leaves, wellness programs, and other total rewards initiatives.

Support health and safety programs, documentation, training, and Joint Health and Safety Committee activities.

Maintain accurate employee information and support the administration and continued improvement of our HRIS.

Prepare HR reports, metrics, communications, and documentation.

Support employee engagement initiatives, events, surveys, and Firm-wide HR projects.

Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, consistency, and the overall employee experience.
What You'll Bring to the Role:

Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or specialist role.

CHRP designation, or progress toward a professional HR designation, is considered an asset.

Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.

Experience across areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and training.

Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented approach.

Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to appropriately handle confidential information.

Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with HR leadership.

Experience with HRIS platforms; experience with Rippling is considered an asset.

Experience in a professional services environment is considered an asset.
