Automotive Receptionist / Cashier - Part-Time

(Morning Schedule) with Opportunity for Growth to Full-Time

About the Position

We are a busy and growing automotive repair facility seeking a professional, customer-focused Receptionist / Cashier to join our team. This position is currently part-time with morning hours, offering the potential to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Experience in the automotive industry is a strong asset. We are looking for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of a repair shop, can communicate effectively with customers, and is comfortable working with repair orders, parts invoices, and service scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with service inquiries.
Schedule and confirm service and maintenance appointments.
Create and process repair orders and customer invoices.
Enter parts purchases and supplier invoices into the shop management system.
Process customer payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
Maintain customer and vehicle records.
Support service department with administrative tasks.
Help ensure smooth daily operation of the front office and service department.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications

Previous reception, cashier, or administrative experience.
Automotive repair shop or dealership experience is a significant asset.
Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance terminology.
Familiarity with repair orders, parts invoicing, and customer billing.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computers and data entry.
Experience with automotive shop management software is an asset.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Schedule

Current Schedule:
Monday to Friday, morning hours 8AM-1PM

Additional hours may become available based on workload and business growth.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Cobourg, ON K9A 3C4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
