YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Underground Maintenance Supervisor, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for the proper maintenance, repair, as well as performing preventative maintenance, and operational safety inspections, on all underground heavy equipment at the Detour Lake Mine. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Performing regular servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on all applicable underground mobile equipment;

Use of computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of required repairs;

Repairing hydraulic, powertrain and electrical systems in an underground environment;

Use of various tools including hydraulic power units, torque wrenches and hoists;

Identifying and reporting part requirements and supplies as required;

Preparing electronic service reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner;

Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work area.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Minimum High School Diploma or GED;

Ontario Provincial or Inter-Provincial Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certificate is considered an asset;

Minimum five years’ related experience in a fast-paced production environment;

Experience with Mclean bolters,scissor lifts,emulsion loader and boom trucks will be an asset;

Experience with Sandvik 50 ton haul trucks and 514,517 scoops will be an asset;

Experience with Epiroc jumbo’s will be an asset;

Computer literate and proven knowledge of CAT ET & Vodia;

Focused and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.

Compensation Statement

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.

Minimum Salary : $54.41 Maximum Salary : $57.45
