Experienced Nanny / Home Child Care Provider
Location: West Kelowna, British Columbia
Full-time Hours: Approximately 30-40hours per week

Position Description
A private family in West Kelowna is seeking a qualified, experienced and dependable nanny/home child care provider to provide attentive and responsible care for our children - 2 years old and 2 months old.
We are looking for an individual who has previous professional childcare or nanny experience and is confident caring for children independently. The successful candidate will be reliable, patient, organized and committed to providing a safe, nurturing and positive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and responsible supervision and care for the children
- Maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing environment in the family home
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children
- Assist with children’s daily routines, dressing and personal hygiene as required
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, including reading, crafts, games, outdoor activities and outings
- Support the children’s emotional well-being and social development
- Follow established family routines and parental instructions
- Transport or accompany children to and from activities and appointments as required
- Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to the children
- Complete children’s laundry and maintain children’s rooms and play areas
- Clean up after children’s meals and activities
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children’s activities, routines and well-being
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of previous childcare, nanny or closely related professional experience required
- Experience caring for multiple children is an asset
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- Strong references from previous childcare or nanny positions preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
- Must be responsible, dependable, patient and trustworthy
- Must be able to work independently and follow established family routines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment for children
- Criminal record and/or vulnerable sector check may be required
Compensation
$25.00 per hour

This is a full-time position based at a private residence in West Kelowna, British Columbia.
Optional accommodation may be available if required; however, living in the employer’s home is not a condition of employment.
