CONTACT Community Services is a not-for-profit organization providing community-based supports across Simcoe County, with a focus in South Simcoe and the Collingwood area. Services include housing, employment, social supports, seniors programming, and volunteer programs, supporting community members as well as individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Rodger’s Way Home is a supportive rapid rehousing program for seniors (55+) experiencing homelessness. It provides transitional housing and wraparound supports within a Housing First, person-centred framework, focused on housing stability, life skills development, and connection to community partners.
The program operates within a communal living environment with 24/7 on-site staffing, offering structured support that promotes independence, accountability, and successful transition into permanent housing.
Job Summary
The Housing Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day program operations through administrative coordination, HIFIS data management, and resident support. This role works closely with the Program Supervisor and Intensive Case Manager to ensure program operations run efficiently, documentation is accurate, and residents receive consistent support.
The position supports intake and discharge processes, program coordination, and on-floor coverage, contributing to overall program flow and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Engagement & Program Support:
· Assist residents with housing applications, service referrals, forms, and paperwork.
· Support resident engagement by encouraging participation in program expectations and community activities.
· Provide guidance and connect residents with community partners and resources.
· Coordinate and support resident intake and discharge processes.
· Provide on-floor coverage as required to support program operations.
· When assigned to on-floor coverage, assume Housing Engagement Worker (HEW) responsibilities including logs, incident reporting, and communication.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Administrative & Program Operations:
· Enter resident information, service interactions, and outcomes into HIFIS and internal systems.
· Maintain accurate documentation and support case tracking and reporting.
· Assist the Intensive Case Manager with case notes, reporting, and monitoring resident progress.
· Support the Program Supervisor with administrative tasks including incident reporting and program coordination.
· Support coordination of day-to-day program operations and internal processes.
· Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Team Collaboration & Support:
· Work collaboratively with the Program Supervisor and Intensive Case Manager to ensure coordinated service delivery.
· Participate in team meetings, supervision, and debriefings.
· Advocate for resident needs with community partners and service providers.
· Contribute to a professional, consistent, and collaborative team environment.
On-Call & Program Support:
· Participate in the on-call rotation following successful completion of the probationary period and with management approval.
· Provide after-hours support and contribute to continuity of program operations.
Qualifications
· Diploma or Certificate in Social Services, Human Services, or related field, or equivalent experience.
· 1–3 years’ experience in social services, housing, or working with at-risk populations.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Experience with data entry and systems such as HIFIS preferred.
· Knowledge of housing systems, community resources, and Housing First approaches.
Additional Requirements
· Ability to work flexible hours, including on-floor coverage as required.
· Ability to respond to crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
· CPR and NVCI certification, or willingness to obtain.
· Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
