We are currently seeking a skilled Estimating and Procurement Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Estimating and Procurement Specialist will oversee and manage the procurement process for goods and services as well as prepare project estimates. This key role helps the company make informed decisions regarding project feasibility, resource allocation, and profitability, as well as being crucial in ensuring that the organization acquires the right products at the right price, within the required timeframes. You will be responsible for estimation and budget creation, developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
· Prepare detailed cost estimates based on BOM and Drawings provided.
· Ensure that estimates are comprehensive, covering all project aspects including labor, materials, overheads, and contingencies
· Review project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand the project scope and requirements
Vendor & Supplier Management:
· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and service providers.
· Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, performance metrics, and ongoing communication.
· Resolve supplier issues, such as delays, disputes, and quality concerns, to ensure smooth operations.
Purchasing & Order Management:
· Oversee the purchasing process for all goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
· Monitor order fulfillment to ensure delivery timelines are met.
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor performance.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
· Manage procurement budgets, ensuring that procurement activities are within financial targets.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and improved sourcing strategies.
· Monitor spending trends and implement corrective actions where necessary to stay within budget.
Reporting & Analysis:
· Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and budget tracking.
· Analyze procurement data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· Track procurement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor vendor effectiveness.
Risk Management & Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as industry regulations, standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
· Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.
· Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and compliance reviews.
Performance Evaluation:
The performance of the Estimating & Procurement Manager will be evaluated based on the below key performance indicators (KPIs)
· Estimated vs Actual Cost Analysis
· Vendor On-Time Delivery and Effective Communication on Delays
· Cost-Savings Initiatives
· Purchasing Accuracy
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
· Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
· In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost-saving strategies.
· Experience with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
