RVA is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Water team in a full-time permanent position.
Duties:

Providing project engineering and technical expertise, review of hydraulic calculations, analysis, and design services for various water/wastewater treatment facilities
-
Managing of water/wastewater projects including scope, schedule, and budget as well as managing client relationships
-
Providing senior review and professional authentication of memos, reports, drawings, and other engineering documents

Preparation of conceptual, preliminary and final process designs of:

Wastewater Treatment Plants
-
Pumping Stations
-
Equalization tanks
-
Outfalls
-
Leading studies and Class EAs for water and wastewater projects
-
Preparing proposals and reports
-
Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and utility companies and contractors
-
Leading and participating in Business Development initiatives
-
Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, project plans, schedules, and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget

Mentoring and coaching project teams including technical and field staff
-
Supervision of junior engineers, technologists, and designers.

Other duties as assigned and appropriate for this position.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor ‘s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
-
Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) within the province of Ontario.

15 plus years progressive experience in water and wastewater engineering with at least 10 years working in a consultancy.
-
Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.
-
Proficient in the full range of design activities including preparation of studies, functional and detailed design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, construction administration and commissioning.

Thorough knowledge of relevant Canadian federal and provincial regulations.

Experienced in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, business/client development and other skills appropriate to consulting.

Proven, advanced level Excel skills and a proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

In-depth understanding of business issues associated with consulting engineering and planning.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and different stakeholders.

Compensation Range
The salary range for this position is: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00
Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
