Position Summary

The Jr. Account Manager will be an integral part of our motivated sales team, responsible for managing incoming sales requests, identifying new sales opportunities, and selling Element Tent products and services to prospective customers. In addition to meeting sales targets, the Jr. Account Manager will be responsible for managing their projects through the planning, installation, event and removal stages.

This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary plus bonus, along with full benefits.

With tent sales offices in both Toronto and Hamilton, the preference would be to work out of Toronto, but flexible to work also out of Hamilton. For the first 3 months of employment this position will be working 2-3 days a week in Hamilton and will later work regularly out of Toronto, which will be their home office. This position will also require you to be on site for client meetings, tent installations and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Sales

Identify needs & selling appropriate products / services to customers
Provide guidance on event needs and ask qualifying questions
Issue quotations and Request for Proposals
Work from beginning of sale to closing

Outbound Sales

Research and identify potential customers
Cold calling list of prospects to generate new business
Overcome objections and educate prospects on tent needs

Project Management / Customer Service Management

Key client liaison from start to end of project/event
Generate quotations and RFPs and converting these into closed business
Present company products and services to current and potential clients
Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
Create and issue Tent Rental Agreements
Negotiate pricing with sub-contractors as needed
Facilitate internal production meetings
Ensure crew is fully informed of their requirements for install, event stand by and removal
Grow existing business through multi-year contracts or identifying new products/services needs

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

Minimum one year experience in Sales, an asset if it is in the event industry
Can positively deal with demanding timelines and stressful situations
Ability to seek out business opportunities through industry research, cold calling, and building relationships
Willingness to work irregular and/or long hours during a customer's event
Ability to travel for out-of-province or out-of-country events
Have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Relevant experience in Microsoft Office
