Position Description:
Join our team at Hariri Pontarini Architects as a Senior Architectural Technologist and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of complex, high-end architectural projects from design development through construction documentation. You will collaborate with Project Leads, Project Managers, Designers, and fellow Technologists to produce coordinated drawing packages that meet client objectives, design intent, applicable codes, and project schedules.

Positions Responsibilities:
- Utilize Revit to prepare and coordinate Design Development drawings for Site Plan Approval applications, Construction Documents and Drawings to support Building Permit Applications, Issuance of Construction and Tender Sets, Administering Contracts, and Change Orders.
- Ensure that project deliverables are consistent with HPA design standard
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and city authorities when needed
- Review documents before handing them off to the Project Manager
- Utilize BIM tools to create and manage digital models of building and construction projects
- Conduct material and product research on building materials, finishes, and materials to assist in selecting appropriate options for project performance, sustainability and cost-effectiveness
- Attend project meetings and the technical training needed
- Understand decision-making related to design
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of experience with a degree or diploma in Architectural Technology/ Architecture/ Design/ relevant field
- Experience preparing Construction Documents, Building Permit Applications, Tender Sets and Issuance of Construction
- High-rise, mixed-use, residential and commercial development project experience
- Knowledge of the City of Toronto, submission documents, and other city approval processes
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
- Escalating items relating to decisions/challenges from the Design and Contract Admin Team
- Ability to use Revit for Construction Documents, Building Permit Applications, Tender Sets and Issuance of Construction
- Ability to use Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-Up
