Job Overview
The Assistant Aquatics Manager supports the Aquatic Manager in overseeing daily pool operations, swim programs, and aquatic staff. This role helps ensure a safe, organized, and high-quality environment for instructors, swimmers, and guests. The position involves assisting with staff supervision, program coordination, scheduling, and maintaining safety standards within the aquatic facility.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Aquatic Manager in overseeing daily pool and aquatic program operations.
Help coordinate swim lessons, staff schedules, and pool usage.
Ensure programs run efficiently and start/end on time.
Support the supervision of swim instructors, lifeguards, and deck supervisors.
Help ensure staff follow safety protocols and organizational policies.
Monitor pool activities to ensure safety standards are followed.
Respond to incidents or emergencies and assist with documentation and reporting.
Assist with planning and organizing swim programs, classes, and special aquatic events.
Maintain records related to attendance, certifications, and scheduling.
Assist with reporting, data tracking, and internal communication.

Experience

Previous experience in aquatic management, swim instruction, or pool operations
Must have strong swimming ability and understanding of swim instruction techniques
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Current Lifesaving Society certifications (e.g., NLS, Instructor, or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED certification (required)
Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in a pool environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
