Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and lead a high-performing retail team. This role is well suited to someone who is passionate about retail leadership, creating a positive team culture, and contributing to the success of a growing Canadian company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and an excellent customer experience
- Lead, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales associates
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Manage inventory including receiving shipments, replenishment, sales floor organization, and regular stock audits
- Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate POS operation
- Manage opening and closing procedures to maintain a secure, clean, and well-presented store
- Support promotional initiatives through strong product knowledge and proactive customer engagement
- Foster a collaborative, professional work environment aligned with InSchoolwear’s values
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling
- Experience with POS systems and basic reporting
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends during peak periods
- Experience in apparel or uniform retail is an asset, but not required
- Welcoming qualified candidates from within Canada only
Seasonal Scheduling Expectations
InSchoolwear experiences peak business volume during the back-to-school period, particularly in August and September. Availability and scheduling flexibility during this time are important to supporting families and ensuring store success.
