Position Title: Roll off Driver
Salary: $29/hr
We have 3 Open Positions:
- Scarborough: Monday - Friday; 6AM start (roughly 10 hours/day)
- Durham Region: Tuesday - Saturday; 6AM start (roughly 10 hours/day)
- Etobicoke: Tuesday - Saturday; 3AM start (roughly 10hours/day)

Position Description
We are currently seeking motivated, hardworking individuals for our Roll-Off Driver positions.
Position Responsibilities
- Operating Roll Off trucks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Industrial cleaning of non-hazardous and hazardous wastes
- Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet; maintains a clean and safe vehicle.
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle
- Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls before attempting service.
- Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
- Notifies Dispatch or Route Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, potential missed pick-ups or problems that arise on the route.
- Communicates customer requests or issues.
- Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Positions containers on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set in an upright position, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- 2+ years of driver/operator experience is preferred
- Upon request submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR
- DZ License
- AZ license or experience driving b – trains are and asset
- Exceptional verbal communication
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery typical within a waste management environment. However, we are willing to train potential candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn
- Must be able to successfully pass all required training, background check, and drug and alcohol testing.
