Location: Scarborough Office

Responsibilities:

Perform daily reconciliation of Nostro accounts by comparing the Bank’s GL balance withMT950/MT940 statements from correspondent banks.
Identify and investigate discrepancies, outstanding items, or unmatched transactions.
Follow up with Financial Control Department, Operations Department, Branches andcorrespondent banks to resolve exceptions.
Ensure all reconciliation activities comply with internal controls, policies, and audit standards.Support for audits.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly clearing reconciliation reports and clearing business related reports.
Participate in system enhancement and User. Acceptance Testing projects related to clearing, payments, and reconciliation.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Previous experience in bank reconciliation, clearing operations, or back-office operations within a banking environment is an asset.
Familiarity with SWIFT message formats (e.g., MT950, MT940, pacs.008, pacs.009).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets.
Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in Chinese is an asset.
Experience with core banking or reconciliation systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
Knowledge of coding or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA) is an asset, particularly for automation and reporting.
Ability to work independently and solve problems using knowledge and experience.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
