At this time, the company is seeking an IDD Tunnel Coordinator to join our team for the Yonge North Subway Extension (YNSE) project in Toronto, supporting the successful execution of this major infrastructure initiative.
POSITION SUMMARY
The IDD Coordinator will support the implementation and coordination of Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) activities within a joint venture transit project. This role assists in ensuring that BIM, GIS, and digital construction processes are delivered in alignment with project requirements, company standards, and contractual obligations. The IDD Coordinator will work closely with technical teams, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project stakeholders reporting to the IDD Lead.
IDD Coordinator’s key responsibilities are:
- Support BIM, GIS, and Digital Construction Delivery
- Assist in ensuring BIM, GIS, and digital construction outputs across engineering, design, estimating, planning, and construction adhere to established standards and contract requirements.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of project BIM and GIS procedures.
- Cross-Disciplinary Technical Coordination
- Support technical work streams such as engineering, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, surveying, and asset management.
- Help facilitate coordination across multiple project segments to ensure information consistency and alignment.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Assist the IDD Lead in preparing, updating, and monitoring BIM Execution Plans (Pre- and Post-Contract).
- Support validation activities to ensure information models comply with ISO 19650 and relevant toolkits, including the Institute for BIM in Canada guidelines.
- Track compliance with IDD Information Requirements and Employer Information Requirements.
- Interface & Communication Support
- Coordinate with client BIM representatives, consultant BIM teams, JV partners, and subcontractor BIM personnel.
- Support federated model coordination by collecting, organizing, and distributing BIM and GIS deliverables.
- Monitor supply chain Information Delivery Plans and assist in reviewing model submissions.
- Training & Digital Capability Support
- Support the development and implementation of the project BIM training matrix.
- Help ensure project personnel receive appropriate training and guidance in IDD-related tools and workflows.
- Project Integration & Technical Support
- Assist in reporting and managing interfaces between design, construction, temporary works, and permanent works through model-based methods.
- Contribute to internal reviews focusing on buildability, logistics, safety in design, industrialization, carbon considerations, and maintenance-oriented design.
- Support alignment efforts between WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure) to reinforce integrated project controls.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in engineering, architecture, geomatics, construction technology, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in BIM, GIS, or IDD implementation within infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
- Experience in transit or rail P3 projects considered an asset.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Familiarity with BIM processes in accordance with ISO 19650 and related industry standards.
- Experience working with BIM software platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Bentley products) and GIS tools.
- Ability to support the management of supply chain Information Models and Delivery Plans.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to support technical reviews and compile documentation for compliance and reporting.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
