Purpose
We are seeking a Business Analyst with QA Responsibilities to join our Payments Technology team. This hybrid role combines core business analysis functions with hands-on functional and manual testing responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and QA specialists to ensure high-quality delivery of payment solutions in an Agile environment.
What You’ll Do:
Business Analysis Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements, ensuring all decisions and changes are properly captured.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Translate complex business needs into clear and concise functional requirements and user stories.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Perform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews for payment system enhancements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payments-related projects and operational improvements.
- Support Scrum Master and Project Manager in planning, scoping, and impact analysis for initiatives.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities (Functional/Manual)
- Create, review, and execute functional test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
- Perform manual testing for new features, enhancements, and regression cycles.
- Collaborate with the development team to validate acceptance criteria and ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work with technical teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in planning and prioritizing testing activities across sprints.
- Support release readiness by validating functionality in pre-production environments.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and system analysis.
- Experience in functional/manual testing within Agile projects.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and MS Office tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of payment systems and standards (SWIFT, ISO 20022) is an asset.
- Experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments.
- Banking/Financial industry experience is a plus.
