About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter / Meat Saw Operator to join our production team.

This is not an entry-level butcher position. You will be responsible for safely processing frozen beef bones, frozen animal fats (including beef suet), and other raw materials using commercial meat processing equipment for food production.

We are looking for someone who has worked in a commercial butcher shop, meat processing plant, or packing facility and can work independently with minimal training.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: This position requires immediate, proven proficiency on a commercial meat bandsaw. No equipment operational training will be provided for bandsaw operation. Qualified candidates must be fully competent to operate safely and independently on Day 1.

Weekly Monday – Friday schedule
Weekends as needed

Salary: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial meat band saws safely and efficiently
Cut frozen beef bones to production specifications
Process frozen beef fat and suet into required sizes
Operate grinders and other meat processing equipment
Maintain consistent product quality and yields
Follow HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and food safety procedures
Clean and sanitize equipment daily
Lift and handle heavy frozen product throughout the shift
Work safely in refrigerated production environments

Non-Negotiable Qualifications & Skills

Proven Experience: Direct, professional experience operating commercial meat bandsaws and industrial meat grinders (Hobart equipment experience preferred).
Frozen Processing Skills: Demonstrated experience cutting and processing frozen bones and animal fats.
Immediate Autonomy: Ability to work safely, precisely, and independently without bandsaw operational training or direct oversight.
High Standards: Exceptional attention to detail regarding safety, sanitation, and output quality.
Proactive Mindset: Strong communication skills, high level of integrity, and a self-driven work ethic.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Heavy Lifting: Must be physically able to repeatedly lift, load, and transfer heavy frozen materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Stamina & Dexterity: Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain excellent hand-eye coordination around high-speed machinery.
Environment: Comfortable working full shifts in a cold processing facility environment.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
