We’re growing and are currently looking for a Sewer Field Helper/Technician (CCTV) to join our expanding Whitby team!
The CCTV Field Technician supports field data collection, including condition assessments of sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure, CCTV inspections, and underground utility locating to ensure accurate mapping, safe operations, and reliable project delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with condition assessments and utility locating for sanitary and storm sewer systems, including mapping underground alignments.
- Perform underground utility locating using electromagnetic and geophysical methods.
- Locate and designate non-conductive utilities (e.g., sewer mains and laterals) using sondes and related equipment.
- Mark utilities clearly with paint and flags in line with industry standards.
- Complete project tasks and data collection accurately while meeting company, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with daily vehicle preparation and inspection, ensuring equipment readiness and organization.
- Assist with completing daily driver logs in compliance with MTO and CVOR requirements.
- Operate company vehicles to travel to job sites as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and exercise caution at job sites.
- Maintain a professional, accountable, and respectful approach at all times.
What You Bring to the Role
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Ability to work 10‑hour shifts, 5 days per week (overtime after 44 hours)
- Valid G‑class driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Flexibility to work days/nights and travel as required
- 2+ years of CCTV field technician or related experience
- NASSCO certification (PACP, LACP, and/or MACP) preferred
- Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions (year‑round)
- Mechanical aptitude and solid problem‑solving skills
- Ability to walk on uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs frequently
