Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven, strategic Digital Sales Specialist to lead and accelerate the performance of our online business across Exzell Shop, Amazon, and additional digital retail channels. This role is responsible for optimizing and growing our e-commerce sales, maintaining high-quality, up-to-date product content, managing promotions, running email campaigns, and identifying opportunities to expand our online footprint.
The Digital Sales Specialist will oversee the day-to-day health of our online platforms, ensure best-in-class product pages, monitor performance KPIs, and collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Social Media, and external partners to drive continuous growth. This position will also support data-driven decision-making by analyzing trends, generating insights, and recommending initiatives to enhance visibility, conversion rates, and the customer experience.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of online retail dynamics, and a passion for growing brands in the digital space. It requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver measurable, sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. E-Commerce Growth & Online Portfolio Management
- Oversee all digital sales channels, including Exzell Shop, Amazon, and online retail partners, to drive visibility, conversion, and revenue growth.
- Manage product listings, ensuring accurate, compliant, and high-performing content across all platforms (images, descriptions, claims, SEO assets, and promotional messaging).
- Lead online product launches and portfolio updates, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies, market needs, and Canadian regulatory requirements (Health Canada, PAAB, ASC).
- Maintain and optimize the Exzell Shop website, ensuring strong UX, timely updates, and seamless integration with digital marketing initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, sales trends, and shopper behaviour to provide actionable insights that guide channel strategy, assortment decisions, and promotional planning.
- Support financial planning through accurate forecasting, budget tracking, and maximizing ROI across all e-commerce initiatives.
2. Digital Marketing, Advertising & Conversion Optimization
- Develop and execute performance-driven digital advertising strategies (search, social, display, and onsite retail media) to increase traffic and boost sales across Exzell Shop, Amazon, and marketplace channels.
- Optimize all digital content, including SEO, keywords, product assets, and campaign materials to improve discoverability and strengthen conversion rates.
- Plan and lead online promotions, deals, and seasonal campaigns while maintaining pricing integrity and preventing price erosion, lead the advertising across all the social media accounts and important searches like Google, Meta, IG, TikTok, etc.
- Build and refine customer journeys to ensure an engaging, frictionless experience from awareness to purchase across all digital touchpoints.
- Analyze performance metrics and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities across human and animal health categories.
- Manage external partners (agencies, freelancers, vendors) to ensure high-quality content and on-time execution that aligns with brand standards.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Partner with Regulatory, QA, and Medical Affairs to secure timely approvals for digital product content, advertising materials, and promotional claims.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and Administrative teams to align inventory, pricing updates, and demand planning with ongoing promotional and sales activities.
- Collaborate with Sales teams (human and animal health) to ensure digital initiatives support broader commercial priorities and field execution strategies.
- Maintain strong communication across departments to ensure digital strategy, operational readiness, and customer satisfaction remain fully aligned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, E-commerce Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Valuable Additional Training, Marketplace Management (Amazon, Shopify, etc.), Digital Advertising & Media Certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, Amazon Advertising, SEO/SEM Certification, Shopify, HubSpot).
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce, digital sales, or online marketing, in consumer health, supplements, or pharmaceutical products.
- Proven track record managing online retail platforms (Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Shopify, or similar).
- Experience creating and executing digital campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and KPIs to drive actionable insights and optimize performance.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, regulatory, operations) and managing external vendors or agencies.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and strategy development.
- Expertise in e-commerce and omnichannel marketing strategy, execution, and associated KPIs.
- Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capabilities in digital sales and online retail.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, delivering results under pressure.
- Proficiency in technical marketing tools, including segmentation, SWOT analysis, competitive strategy development, and risk assessment.
Language:
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or Portuguese is an asset.
Technical:
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms: Amazon, Shopify, or equivalent.
- Experience with digital marketing tools: Google Analytics, SEMrush, SEO tools, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and website maintenance.
- Basic understanding of HTML, SEO, and keyword optimization for product listings. Knowledge of pricing, promotional, and marketplace management tools.
Work Environment & Additional Requirements
- Office & Remote Work: This role operates on a hybrid schedule, with four days in the office (Monday to Thursday) and one day working remotely (Friday). Depending on business needs, Fridays may occasionally require office attendance or attendance at company events. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary during peak periods to meet deadlines, support product campaigns, and achieve team objectives.
