Full job description

Since 1975, we have been an employer of choice in the Kawartha’s. We are a Custom Fabricating and Machining facility, utilizing both CNC and Conventional Machine Tools to manufacture large, heavy equipment. Our reputation for quality workmanship and our ability to respond quickly to clients’ lead times, keeps our 75,000 square foot manufacturing plant busy.

We are looking to fill this job immediately, so it’s important that you can hit the ground running. We offer competitive wages, excellent benefits and a generous vacation package.

Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a minimum of three years’ experience as a machinist.

**Relocation assistance is available to be negotiated to suitable applicants **

Skills/Abilities include:

· Ability to monitor and execute multiple tasks in parallel

· Must be proficient with interpreting drawings and GD & T for machining

· Proven track record of solving complex machining problems

· Able to communicate issues and instructions clearly, efficiently and in a constructive manner

· Solid understanding of CNC programming

· Able to set up machine for a variety of jobs

Responsibilities include:

· Machining various types of steel, stainless steel and aluminum weldments to both customer and internal drawings.

· Detailed inspection and verification to customer requirements

· Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments

· Plan and execute work for efficient use of time, equipment and resources

Experience with:

· CNC Machines, Horizontal boring mills, Lathes

· Overhead cranes, forklifts

· Experience with machining products for Nuclear, Oil & Gas or Naval would be an asset

Alternating Shifts:

Days – Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Afternoons – Monday – Thursday 3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
