The Role
We are currently looking for a CNC Lathe Operator to join our growing team. This position is based at our Passmore facility.
This is a full time position on the afternoon shift.
Afternoon Shift:
Monday - Thursday: 3:30pm - 12:30am
Friday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Job Description
The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for set up and machining of various components, to ensure drawing requirements are met, and that work is performed safely and efficiently
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and fabricate metal parts as required by the specifications
- Setup and operate CNC lathes in accordance with approved safe work procedures
- Ensure parts released from machine are free of burrs, shavings and sharp edges
- Work from process sheets, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, report any broken pieces of equipment
- Read micrometers, vernier calipers, etc
- Check for tolerances
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years experience in operating CNC Lathe Machines
- Previous experience using Fanuc controls
- Must be able to perform set-up
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
- Understanding of G and M codes
- Previous work experience using hand tools and measuring devices
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
