Service Dispatcher – North York, ON

Reporting to the Process and Compliance Manager – This position is located in North York, ON will be responsible for Coordinating the service calls primarily for Technicians in a specific region and administer related paperwork; as well as back up for other Provinces when required.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, consistently meet deadlines and possess strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of geographical area dispatching for
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word and excel)
- French/English speaking and written is an asset
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Answer all incoming telephone service requests and record all pertinent information
- Dispatch calls using the information gathered to supply information needed by technician
- Determine priorities to be assigned to service calls/80’s customer
- Reply to voice mail in national dispatch and email messages from call center I-24,
- Follow up with technicians/portals with regards to the status of their jobs for timely completion
- Confirm if parts have been received so that the job can be scheduled
- Confirm special instructions for job such as overtime, two-man job or specialty tools) required
- Answer customer inquiries regarding their invoices, technician’s arrival etc.
- Determine which technician is the closest and most experienced for the job
- Prepare daily and weekly summary for technicians payroll
- Record approved technician vacations on timesheets (maintain tech plan)
- Determine priorities to be assigned to service calls
- Open all service calls coming from the portals
- Provide assistance with clerical duties as required
- Dispatch support during vacation – for ON branch
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Work with all departments to respond to customer requests.
- Work as a team with the Regional Manager and the technicians assigned to your dispatch area.
- Additional tasks as required.
