Overview
We are seeking a passionate and engaging Drum Teacher to inspire students of all ages through rhythm and percussion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, enjoy working with children, and possess the ability to create a fun and supportive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop students' musical skills while fostering their confidence and creativity.

Duties

Design and deliver engaging drum lessons tailored to students’ skill levels and interests
Prepare lesson plans that incorporate fundamental rhythms, techniques, and music theory
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and age groups
Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom setting
Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student development when appropriate
Incorporate elements of early childhood education to make lessons accessible for young learners
Assist with related activities such as musical games or basic percussion instrument maintenance

Experience

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching percussion instruments, especially drums
Working with children in educational or extracurricular settings is highly desirable
Background in early childhood education or classroom experience is a plus
Skills in cooking are considered a nice-to-have for integrating creative activities into lessons
Prior experience in music instruction, classroom management, or youth programs will be advantageous

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
