Oxford Learning Whitby - Supplemental Education Centre for Students PK-Gr.12

Full Time Student Services Coordinator

Mission: Oxford Learning Whitby supports students to make academic gains by helping them develop confidence and skill level with individualized programming. Each student receives the highest quality of academic support to improve their skills. Our Centre is committed to providing the highest quality of customer service to our families. We maintain a fun and professional environment for both our students and staff.

Position Summary: Candidates are invited to apply for this position to work at our Centre at 3050 Garden St. in Whitby, on a full-time basis. Position currently requires someone 36-40 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work Monday-Friday between either 10am-6pm or 12pm-8pm and occasional Saturdays from 10am-3pm. The Student Services Coordinator works alongside the Centre Director and reports directly to them. This position requires someone who has a passion for helping students learn, excellent communication and customer service skills, works well in a team environment as well as an interest in marketing and sales. This person has good computer and phone skills and can manage scheduling and social media platforms.

Major Responsibilities:

maintain student files and copies as needed
schedule student make-up sessions in our management system
enter contact information and inquiries in management system
schedule parent meetings and assessments
reply to daily parent emails
send Zoom links and host Zoom teacher meetings
answer the phone and inquiries
greet students and parents at the door
update all social media platforms
teach students at table
support other teachers and staff

Skill Sets Include:

proficient in the use of computers and Windows based computer applications
proficient with Gmail
must be able to effectively communicate information
must be prepared to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
ability to work independently, and multi-task
superior phone etiquette
highly adaptable and an interest to learn

Student Services Coordinator will also complete Oxford teacher training, teach students and learn about what sets us apart from other tutoring companies. A passion for teaching and experience as a teacher is an asset.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Whitby, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

Front desk: 2 years (preferred)
Administrative: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
