Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our financial services team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial analysis within a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in math, data entry, and account reconciliation, along with familiarity with various accounting software platforms. This paid internship is designed to develop your skills and understanding of financial operations, preparing you for a future career in finance or accounting.

Duties

Assist with data entry and account reconciliation processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft, and UltiPro.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate processing of transactions.
Help maintain payroll records and process payroll using systems like ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, and UltiPro.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or variances in financial data.
Assist with budgeting tasks and prepare reports for review by senior finance staff.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by organizing financial documents and performing routine bookkeeping tasks.
Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
Perform general administrative duties related to finance operations including data entry and document management.

Experience

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro is preferred.
Basic understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll systems like ADP or Ceridian is a plus.
Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
Experience with financial analysis or budgeting is advantageous but not required.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $800.00-$1,500.00 per month
