Job Title: Breakfast Attendant

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aurora, part of the globally recognized InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) family, is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and guest-focused individual to join our team as a Breakfast Attendant.
As a key member of our hotel team, you will play an important role in ensuring guests begin their day with a welcoming and enjoyable breakfast experience while maintaining IHG brand standards, cleanliness, food safety, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Setup & Service
- Prepare, organize, and maintain the breakfast area in accordance with IHG brand standards, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked environment.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of hot and cold breakfast items, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
Guest Service Excellence
- Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding hospitality while responding professionally to guest inquiries and requests.
- Create a positive and memorable guest experience by maintaining a friendly, approachable, and service-oriented attitude.
Food Monitoring & Replenishment
- Regularly monitor food and beverage levels and replenish products promptly to maintain quality, freshness, and presentation standards throughout service hours.
- Ensure breakfast offerings are consistently available and presented to meet guest expectations.
Cleanliness, Sanitation & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, serving stations, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
- Follow all food handling, storage, sanitation, and disposal procedures in compliance with public health regulations and hotel policies.
Brand Standards & Compliance
- Support and uphold Holiday Inn Express and IHG operational standards, ensuring consistency in guest service and breakfast presentation.
- Adhere to all hotel health, safety, security, and workplace policies and procedures.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, customer service, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first approach.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and stocking supplies.
Work Schedule & Availability
This is a part-time position requiring flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business demands.
Early morning availability is required to support breakfast service operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience in alignment with IHG brand standards.
