Overview
We are seeking a skilled Blender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess knowledge of food safety practices. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and mechanical knowledge are essential.

Position Summary:

The Batch Blender is responsible for ensuring that all blend production processes and activities are set up and run in a manner which maximizes food safety, quality, efficiency and safety while meeting all company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Responsible for operating mixers both liquid and dry, boilers, and sugar tanks

· Check production schedule daily to ensure that production requirements are met

· Accurately measure and weigh of ingredients according to the instruction on the batch sheets

· Maintain and accurate records of all mixed batches

· Take samples for QA

· Follow and practice all GMP’s, and HACCP protocols

· Clean and sanitize tanks as well as work area

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the blending area

· Work in accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment

· Other duties as assigned by Blender Lead Department and Plant Supervisor

Education, Experience & Competency Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· A minimum of 1-year blend or batch making experience in the food/beverage industry

· Must have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

· Proficient ability to speak, read, write and take direction in English

· Strong mathematical and troubleshooting skills

· Knowledge of GMP’s, and HACCP principles is preferred

· Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in order to meet deadlines

· Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and have good attention to detail

· Positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with a team as well as work independently as needed

· Ability to engage in routine walking, standing, bending and carry items weight up to 40 lbs. plus for extended periods of time

Duties
- Operate blending equipment to mix ingredients according to specified recipes
- Sanitate blending equipment before and after use to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Package blended products for distribution or further processing
- Fabricate blends based on production schedules and quality standards
- Utilize basic math skills to measure ingredients accurately
- Forklift operation for material handling within the facility

Requirements
- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in food processing or blending roles
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately
- Proficiency in basic math for measuring ingredients precisely
