Job Title: Full-Cycle Accounting ClerkLocation: Markham, ON
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $48,000 – $54,000 per year

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Full-Cycle Accounting Clerk to join our company in Markham, ON. You will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting process, from recording daily transactions (AP/AR) to producing financial statements and closing the books. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and sales tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Processing invoices, managing payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Bank & Statement Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and vendor statements to ensure system records match reality.
General Ledger & Journal Entries: Maintaining the accurate integrity of the general ledger and prepare routine adjusting journal entries.
Payroll & Tax Compliance: Process payroll, apply correct tax codes, and prepare regulatory remittances including HST, WSIB, and annual T4 documentation.
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for both vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies, payment status, or ledger updates.
Month-End Support: Provide support to the external or Senior Accountant with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Experience: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated, Full-Cycle Accounting Experience.

· Tax Expertise: Must have proven experience with ON HST and Canadian Taxes regulations and filing processes.

· Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software like Sage.

· Communication: Fluent in English and Cantonese. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for professional interaction with external vendors.

· Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and a knack for identifying financial inconsistencies.
