Currently operate five stores in the Greater Toronto Area. Four brick-and-mortar locations and a growing web store. As a privately owned family business, each location operates as a boutique, with the other stores forming part of the extended family. The company designs and manufactures in Italy, imports and sells the Ron White collections in more than 80 stores across North America with partners such as Nordstrom as well as on three national TV networks across four countries. Ron White was named Independent Retailer of the Year by Footwear News in 2011 and was inducted into the Sheridan College of Business Hall of Fame in 2007.
Ron and his team also dedicate their time to Charitable Events including a Breast Cancer Fundraiser founded in 1996, Canada's largest Shoe Drive launched in 1995, and through his White Knight Gala which has raised over a million dollars for local charities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Full-Time Head Office Based (with periodic in-store support as needed.)
Annual Salary,: $50,000 CAD
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their career in fashion retail and gain hands on experience across merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, and retail operations.
The Merchandise & Marketing Coordinator is a cross functional role that supports several areas of the business. Based primarily at Head Office, this position helps coordinate product flow between locations, maintain inventory and product information, support merchandising activities, execute email marketing campaigns, prepare store marketing materials, and keep online content accurate and up to date with brand standards. You will work with and support the Head of Stores, Head of Website and Head of Marketing.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast paced retail fashion environment, including but not limited to the following:
PRODUCT & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
· Enter and maintain product data, including SKU setup and purchase order entry.
· Reconcile product and supply orders, follow up with vendors to ensure complete and accurate deliveries, and close completed purchase orders in the system.
· Prepare and process all Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions, coordinating with E-Commerce and Accounting to ensure inventory records remain accurate.
· Assist with quarterly physical inventory counts at retail stores and Head Office.
· Support the preparation and distribution of End-of-Season samples and as-is products.
· Assist in creating seasonal store merchandise assortment plans and look books.
· Prepare and support the analysis of biweekly sell-through reports to identify opportunities for improved performance, stock balancing, and fill-in opportunities between retail stores and warehouses.
· Prepare seasonal markdown booklets, enter pricing updates into systems.
· Prepare detailed End-of-Season sell-through reports to support buying meetings.
RETAIL STORE MARKETING & MERCHANDISING
· Plan, coordinate, and execute the production and distribution of in-store marketing materials including 8.5x11 Signage, Window Posters, Easels, Sandwich Boards, Decals, and Brand Ice Blocks display.
· Liaise with print vendors to ensure accuracy and on-time production and distribution.
· Collect and distribute seasonal Product Knowledge Packages to Retail and E-Commerce teams.
· Support the coordination and execution of in-store events, including product knowledge sessions, trunk shows, and special order events.
· Assist in the preparation and execution of Seasonal Fashion Academy presentations.
· Collaborate with your manager to create retail store visual merchandising plans, including window displays, front table layouts, and communicate execution guidelines to store teams.
EMAIL MARKETING & CUSTOMER LIST MANAGEMENT
· Manage, maintain, and update customer lists.
· Coordinate the development of email campaign layouts.
· Schedule and deploy email campaigns.
E-COMMERCE PRODUCT & CONTENT MANAGEMENT
· Ensure new SKUs are uploaded to the online store and accurately merchandised within the appropriate categories.
· Maintain homepage updates that align with retail store displays, campaigns, and key product launches, including new arrivals and restocks.
· Ensure the online product catalogue is accurate and up to date with current product information, images, and pricing.
· Conduct biweekly website audits and sale item maintenance, resolving display or functionality issues and removing low-stock or sold out sale items.
· Maintain the Off-Site SKU List and ensure it is kept up to date for the Retail, Wholesale, and Marketing teams.
GENERAL & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT
· Schedule seasonal vendor buying appointments.
· Support warehouse stock work during peak periods, as needed.
· Assist with web customer service responses, order allocation, and shipping during peak periods, vacation coverage, or unforeseen circumstances.
· Assist with showroom setup, seasonal sample organization, and product pulls for media or marketing shoots, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in merchandising, retail marketing, e-commerce, or a related retail/fashion environment is preferred.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
· Comfortable working with reports, product data, and inventory information.
· Proficiency in retail POS systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Experience supporting email marketing campaigns and customer list management.
· Able to work across multiple departments, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to travel to and work at multiple locations across the GTA when needed.
