Full job description

Toni & Guy Queen is an established salon looking to foster creative and dedicated individuals. We are looking to hire a hybrid position of Salon Assistant and Front Desk Concierge to join our team. The ideal candidate would be a current hair school student or graduate looking to begin their training in a fast-paced and sophisticated Salon setting.

Position requirements:

Assist the styling team by maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness and functionality of the salon space
Prepare clients for their stylists when needed by draping client in colour chair;
Perform hair-styling tasks when needed such as shampoos, mixing of formulas, application of hair toners, and wash and blowdries.
Book in clients for Salon services over the phone, over e-mail, and in person
Greet clients and welcome them to the salon by seating them and offering a beverage
Communicate in a professional manner with the salon team and management team
Perform administrative duties such as counting orders upon arrival, submitting order info into the inventory log, scanning files and organizing within computer folders
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the front area
Answer inquiries and complaints over the phone, over e-mail, and in person
Handle rescheduling of clients in professional manner when service providers are sick

The successful candidate must possess the following requirements:

Pursuing a career in hair styling and ideally graduated from hair school;
Guest satisfaction oriented;
Team oriented;
Detail oriented;
Excellent multitasker;
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure;
Availability: Weekdays and Weekends, including evenings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Experience:

Hair styling: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
