Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Hairstylist Assistant to support our salon. Hours are mainly on the weekends and some weekdays- hours revolve around the hairdressers bookings. Education and training provided.

Responsibilities

Assist hairstylists during client appointments by preparing tools and products.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all salon equipment and work areas in compliance with health standards.
Greet clients warmly, check-in appointments, and manage front desk duties including scheduling and client inquiries.
Support with retail sales by recommending hair care products and upselling services to clients.
Prepare styling stations for upcoming appointments and ensure all supplies are stocked.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring a positive salon experience.
Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining client records and processing payments as needed.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
Excellent sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
Effective communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members.
Ability to upsell retail products tactfully to enhance client satisfaction.
Experience with retail sales or front desk operations is advantageous but not required.
Team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to assisting stylists and supporting salon operations. This position offers valuable industry experience in a supportive environment, perfect for individuals interested in building a career in beauty or customer service.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
